Vineyard

Block 2 sits on the warm, north-west-facing slope of Denton View Hill — the sunniest pocket of the site. The exposure lets all three varieties ripen fully, while the granite beneath keeps everything fresh and finely mineral. Equal parts Nebbiolo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon come off this face: Nebbiolo from Block 2A, and Syrah and Cabernet just above in Block 2B, more central across the slope.

Vinification

Each parcel was hand-picked between late February and early March, cooled overnight and whole-bunch pressed to tank. The next day the juice was racked off solids and fermented separately with indigenous yeasts. Ferments ran in old oak and our little egg, with occasional lees stirring to build texture and savoury depth.

Once dry, the wines rested on fine lees before coming together in May, and were bottled in late September 2025 - unfined and with minimal filtration. Made for flavour and mouth feel, not for the tick-box pursuit of paleness.

Vintage

Spring ran warm and dry, giving the vines a steady run through flowering and set. Summer held that line with little rain, pushing flavour and concentration without sacrificing acidity. It’s a season that delivered wines of drive, depth and clarity.
